My role is to support and lead the ECABC team in executing the vision set by the Board. This includes maintaining our high standards for quality events and education programs, and representing the interests of our members with public policy decision makers and in the media.

As Director of Operations, my principal role is to oversee the day-to-day activities and initiatives of the ECABC office team, while supporting the Association’s priority initiatives with ECABC’s President, Matt MacInnis.

As the Member Services Coordinator, the core of my role is to build and sustain long lasting relationships with our members through exceptional operational and administrative procedures. This includes induction of new members, event management, and provision of professional and friendly support.

As ECABC’s Education and Communication Coordinator, my primary responsibilities are leading delivery of the Association’s education programs and supporting our members with their training and career development, while providing overall marketing and communications support to the ECABC provincial office.

As the Administrative Assistant, the core of my role is to support the general administrative functions of the team including answering phones, greeting/referring/assisting visitors, customers, staff, or others, preparing documents and reports, compiling records, scheduling meetings, and organizing.

Derek Fettback is Vice President for Western Pacific Enterprises, based in Coquitlam, BC and operating in Western Canada from British Columbia to Manitoba. He joined WPE in 1997 as an apprentice, commencing a progressive career managing a diverse set of commercial, industrial, and utilities projects.

Throughout his tenure, Derek has acquired vast expertise in project management, estimating and cost controls, and developing long-lasting client relations.

As Vice President of Service at Houle Electric Ltd., Shawn leads the Service and Fleet Management groups with a passion for excellence. He drives seamless operations, ensuring top-tier customer service and outstanding professional workmanship.

Shawn also serves on various boards and committees to support important industry initiatives with ECABC, the Construction Labour Relations Association of BC, and the Joint Electrical Industry Welfare Trust Fund.

As President and General Manager of Sasco Contractors Ltd., Craig has been a long time supporter of the Association. With offices located in Burnaby, Kamloops and Victoria, he is proud to represent all the different geographical voices of BC.

Craig’s skills in business development, negotiations, budgeting, customer service and procurement have made him an asset to ECABC’s Board of Directors since he was elected as a Director in 2020.

As Chief Executive Officer of FMI, Don is responsible for directing and providing leadership for the company’s growth. He has over 30 years of heavy industrial project experience ($1M to $985M) and was instrumental in achieving significant cost and schedule reductions through coordination of engineering, procurement and construction teams by use of work package development, team building and leadership expertise.

Don has been an active member of ECABC since 2011.

Derek Mott represents the fourth generation at Mott Electric, currently overseeing the operations of this diversified organization as it enters its ninth decade. His experience spans from apprentice to chargehand, as well as project management, estimating, and now operations. He has been involved in a wide range of the industry working in: industrial, commercial, residential, tenant improvement, wireless and fibre optic environments.

Derek’s leadership is responsible for the strategic direction of Safety, Training, Labour, Projects, and Resource Management. He is also responsible for technology integration and innovation across the organization.

Elected in 2019, Derek demonstrates Mott’s involvement as one of ECABC’s longest standing members, having been a part of the Association since 1952. He greatly values the resources and connections provided through being a member of ECABC and the Board.

Dustin is an active member of the construction community. He was a Director on the Red Deer Construction Association board from 2013 and served as President of the board in 2017. He joined the Electrical Contractors Association of BC as a Chapter Executive in the Vancouver Chapter in 2018, a position he still holds.

Additionally, Dustin is the current President of the Electrical Joint Training Committee Board.

Giving back to the construction community is a priority for Dustin, as it helps him stay connected to industry issues and be part of the solutions.

Before moving to BC in 2009, Paul worked for many years in supervisory and project management roles in the UK construction market heavily biased towards electrical installations, which is his original trade.

Paul worked as a Project Manager with Western Pacific Enterprises for 10 years before moving to a new role as Operations Manager with Black and McDonald in 2019.

Paul considers himself very fortunate to have made the decision to emigrate to Canada and find a job that gives him time to take in all that the beautiful province of BC has to offer.

Paul is a third term returning board member with ECABC.

Andrew Fettback is a highly accomplished professional with over 20 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. His impressive track record of success and outstanding leadership skills earned him the position of Vice President at one of the largest electrical companies in Western Canada.

Having begun his career in 2003 as a pre-apprentice, Andrew has risen through the ranks and has played a pivotal role in the successful completion of several large-scale projects. These include the Saskatoon Civic Operations Centre, the Molson Coors Fraser Valley Brewery, and The Post -a notable redevelopment project of the heritage Canada Post building in downtown Vancouver.

Andrew’s extensive knowledge and expertise have enabled him to oversee the Commercial & Industrial, Tl divisions, as well as Alberta operations. His exceptional performance in these roles has provided him with the requisite experience and skills to cofound his own company, Fettback & Heesterman.

As principal at Fettback & Heesterman, Andrew leverages his vast experience and expertise to focus on operations, pre-construction, and estimating. His exceptional leadership qualities and unwavering commitment to excellence make him a highly sought-after professional in the industry.

After graduating from BCIT Igor began his career with Elworthy Electrical Services Ltd. as an apprentice electrician. Elworthy gave him the opportunity to quickly move through the ranks as a journeyperson, supervisor, estimator, project manager and now operations manager for the company. This journey has allowed him to grow on a professional level and experience many aspects of the trade and business. It is this wide range of knowledge and experience that he has shared with the Board and membership since his election in 2022.

Owner and President of Villa Electric (1980) Ltd., Bill has been an Open Shop member of ECABC’s Board of Directors for approximately 20 years. During this time he has held the positions of 2nd Vice Chair, 1st Vice Chair, Chairman and Past Chair.

He remains committed to serving the Association’s membership so that he can continue to help better the industry. He is passionate about bringing forth educational opportunities for journeypersons and apprentices for all contractors.
