Vancouver Island Chapter Meeting January 2026
The first Vancouver Island Chapter event of 2026!
Innodes Consulting Inc. will be presenting on Site-Related Seismic Restraint Issues, the session will include the following:
• Practical Advice on Installations
• Engineering Inputs
• Safety Procedures
• Examples of Installations from the Seismic Manual
• Samples of Calculations described in the Seismic Manual
A Q&A session will also be held after the presentation concludes.

Details
Dragan Todorovic, P. Eng, M.Eng, MIStructE
Dragan graduated with a Masters of Engineering from the University of Belgrade in 1989 and has been working as a professional engineer in the province of British Columbia since 1995. While working in Canada, Dragan has specialized in the design of wood, concrete and steel structures, including seismic upgrades of existing structures and seismic inspections for electrical and mechanical components. Dragan has been a principal since 2008 and is currently the principal at Innodes Consulting Inc. Dragan received his MIStructE designation from the Institution of Structural Engineers in 2023. He has been involved in the seismic design of electrical, mechanical and plumbing units for more than 20 years, and he was involved in the development and review of the ECABC manuals since 2012.
Roya Ghanbari, P. Eng, M. Eng
Roya graduated with a Bachelors of Applied Science from the University of Tabriz in 2002 and completed her Masters of Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2013. Roya has over 20 years of experience in engineering and has been working as a professional engineer in the province of British Columbia since 2016. Roya is currently a Senior Project Engineer at Innodes Consulting Inc. where she has been working since 2019. Roya was involved in the preparation of the latest ECABC manual (2024), and she has considerable knowledge in seismic restraint design.
Kevin Jury, EIT
Kevin began working in the construction industry in the late 90s before going back to school in 2014 for a Diploma in Structural Engineering Technology from Red River College in Winnipeg. Following the diploma in 2017, Kevin obtained an advanced diploma in Civil Engineering from Camosun College in Victoria in 2019. Kevin received his Bachelors of applied science from the University of British Columbia in 2021. Kevin is currently an engineer in training at Innodes Consulting Inc. where he has been working since 2022. Kevin has experience in seismic restraint design, and he was involved in preparation of the latest ECABC manual (2024).

Event Policies
Those members whom have registered for a Vancouver Island Chapter Meeting may contact ECABC to cancel up to three business days prior to the meeting date at no charge; a full refund will be issued by the ECABC Provincial Office if applicable. There will be no refund for cancellations less than three business days prior to the meeting date, and those members cancelling or failing to attend without notice will be charged a cancellation fee of $50. In the event that a member was registered by another party from their company, the charge will be directed to the original registering party. We recognize that uncontrollable situations do arise, however, so any participant substitution(s) may be made at no additional charge. All fees will be processed by the ECABC Provincial Office. Enforcement of this policy is at the discretion of the ECABC President.
