FSR Certificate Renewal

FSR certificates of qualification must be renewed every three years. You must renew by the expiry date listed on your wallet card. Proof of continuing education is required to renew your certificate, to ensure you’re up-to-date on the latest safety hazards and changes in codes and regulations.

Partnerships

ECABC has partnered with E2 Inc., and WJETS to offer its members the 2018 and 2021 BC Electrical Code Changes online training for a discounted price. E2 Inc, and WJETS are Technical Safety BC-Recognized Education Providers for FSR certification renewal continuing education.

Their online session counts towards FSR renewal credits! Each purchase (and successful completion) of the course provides certification for one individual. Click on the pictures below to find out more.

Additional training

The British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) also offers FSR training. To learn more, visit their website and view their FSR Electrical Code Continuing Education flyer for the 2021 Canadian Electrical Code.

BCIT offers two types of online classes:

  • a Zoom session where students are online for one day
  • an “online-self paced class start anytime” (students have two weeks to complete the class).
